Rate Information:
Please email us for rate information. We try to work within budgets of all sizes. Please email us rough mixes of songs you would like mixed, the date that you need the work completed by, and any other information or questions you may have. If you feel uncomfortable sending full rough mixes, snippets are fine, just try to have them include any hook and bridge sections; this is necessary for estimating the complexity of the song. Projects quotes are inclusive of studio charges and engineer fee.
In order to provide rates that are affordable for independent artists and producers, we have very strict requirements for session file organization. This will allow us to spend time mixing, avoiding hours of editing and organizing. If these guidelines are not followed an hourly charge will be added to the final bill. Masters will not be delivered until full payment is received.
Guidelines:
- All Tracks must be named.
- All Files must be present in the Audio Files Folder of the Session (Pro Tools). To ensure this you must open the session and choose the file menu, then the SAVE SESSION COPY command. This will open up a dialog box, where you will need to check the following boxes as shown in the window capture below. WAV or AIFF formats are acceptable. Also ensure the sample rate and bit depth are set to the same settings that your session is. AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT SAMPLE RATE CONVERT OR CHANGE BIT DEPTH.

- All Tracks must be organized according to part and as follows: Left to Right (Top to Bottom) – Drums, Percussion, Bass, Guitars, and All other instruments in order of importance. Followed by vocals: Intro, Verses, all adlibs and harmonies pertaining to that verse, Chorus or Hooks, Bridge, Outro.
- If you do not use Pro Tools. Please NAME ALL audio files and consolidate them From the very beginning of the track to the very end of the track. In other words, all files should be the same length and in ONE PIECE. Please verify this by opening a new file and importing the consolidated files into your new session. LISTEN and make sure the files play correctly. SOLO the consolidated tracks and ensure there aren’t any clicks or pops that resulted from bad edits before consolidating.
- If there are elements about your ruff mix that you would like to keep or replicate, please include the ruff mix and very detailed notes. Please keep in mind that we may not have the same plugins as you and will have to recreate certain things. If you feel it is perfect how you have it, record the track with the effect and include it in your session files. If the effect is on an auxiliary return (like a delay or reverb), bus that to an audio track and record it from the session start, then name and include it with your session files.
- Please do not leave any tracks muted in the session, this will create confusion as to whether or not they are part of the song.
- Please include a full rough mix with the session.
- All files that need to be tuned (autotuned or melodyned) must be done so by the client prior to sending sessions. If desired by the client, tuning will be done at an additional hourly rate.
- Please REMOVE ALL FILES THAT ARE NOT TO BE USED IN THE SESSION.
- These things will save us all time and money. We will be happy to assist you if there are any questions with preparing a mix ready session. Thank you!
